More than food, the Manna-Chowhound fooddrops

Joseph Van Balen - 490th Bomb Group In 1945 the photo of the windmill at Terbregge was taken from the aircraft in which Van Balen was in. He was not part of the flying crew but had asked to fly along. He wanted to be part of the food drop missions since he had many relatives in the Netherlands. Years later his family visited Terbregge and visited the windmill again.
